DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, June 1 for an out of this world evening featuring a museum cocktail hour and a viewing of Wall-E in the James E. Bertelsmeyer Planetarium.  WALL-E\, short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class\, is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days tidying up the planet\, one piece of garbage at a time. But during 700 years\, WALL-E has developed a personality\, and he’s more than a little lonely. Then he spots EVE\, a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a scanning mission. Smitten WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure yet when he follows EVE across the galaxy. This family friendly event is offered free of charge exclusively to TASM members. \nMuseum doors will open at 5:30 pm for a member’s only museum hour and full cash bar access. Tickets will be available for pick up at the front desk from 5:30-6:30 pm with proof of valid membership. The featured film will begin at approximately 6:30 pm. Please make sure to respect TASM’s regulations as food and beverage are not permitted inside of the planetarium. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from 5:30-6:30 pm during the member’s only museum hour. \nPlease RSVP below\, and if you’re not a member\, you can purchase memberships here or in person at TASM!

DESCRIPTION:B-29 Doc will spend Memorial Day weekend in in Tulsa\, Okla.\, May 25 and 26. The Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium (TASM) will host B-29 Doc for a two-day event that will feature both static display and cockpit tours\, as well as B-29 Doc Flight Experience ride flights. \nB-29 Doc will be joined by a North American T-6 Texan during the weekend tour stop at TASM. \nAdmission & Details\nGates will open each day at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. The flight schedule for the B-29 Doc Flight Experience are 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.\, Saturday and Sunday\, May 25 and 26. Ride flights will also be available for the T-6. Cockpit tours for both airplanes will be available when the aircraft are not flying riders. \nAdmission to TASM for the B-29 Doc tour stop will be $20 for adults (ages 12 and up)\, $10 for youth (ages 5 to 11) and for children ages 4 and under admission will be free. DESCRIPTION:The board of directors\, staff and volunteers of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium are proud to present the annual Aviator Ball on Saturday\, May 4\, 2019.  The event will occur at the Christiansen Jet Center at the Richard L. Jones\, Jr. Airport in south Tulsa.  This year’s theme is “50 years of Apollo\, back to the Moon” and we plan to recognize one of mankind’s greatest achievements—landing on the Moon! \nHors d’oeuvres will begin at 4 p.m. followed by exciting flight demonstrations at 5 p.m.\, featuring vintage warbirds.  Guests will enjoy a plated dinner prepared by one of Tulsa’s finest chefs while learning about upcoming space missions and future events at TASM. DESCRIPTION:The Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium presents a Stang Thang on Saturday\, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This event will feature Mustangs of the road and air: Ford Mustang cars and P-51 Mustang aircraft; in conjunction with TASM’s first officially sanctioned chili cook-off. \nIn partnership with the Green Country Classic Mustang\, this event will feature a car show with about 50 mustangs.  The cars will be competing for a “People’s Choice” trophy\, with the winner being selected by museum visitors.  Regular museum admission is required for access to the event and a “People’s Choice” voting ballot. \nIn addition to the classic sports cars\, a P-51 Mustang will be on display at TASM.  This vintage warbird is arguably the most successful and most versatile fighter of World War II.  During the war\, P-51s carried out nearly 214\,000 missions in all theaters of the war\, destroying 4\,950 enemy aircraft! \nVisitors can enjoy these iconic vehicles while sampling the finest chili of Tulsa.  The museum is excited to announce their first official chili cook off contest.  The contest is officially sanctioned through the Chili Appreciation Society International.  The chili cook off will begin at 9 a.m. with turn in time at 1 p.m.\, public tasting and awards ceremony to follow official judging.  Interested cooks can find more details on the CASI website. \nThe perfect event for those who enjoy classic cars\, vintage warbirds and champion chili!

DESCRIPTION:The ONLY race in Oklahoma that takes place on an airport runway! \n5K race starts at 10:00 a.m.  \nRun alongside vintage aircraft and military vehicles on a flat\, certified 5K course.  Walk or run\, strollers are welcome but please no dogs!  All finishers will receive a medal. Placing medals will be awarded to 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in standard age group categories.  Overall male and overall female will receive a one-year family membership to TASM.   \nRegister online by Valentine’s Day (February 14) to guarantee a T-shirt.  Packet pickup will take place at Runners World (3920 S Peoria Ave\, Tulsa\, OK 74105) on Thursday\, February 28\, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Friday and Saturday packets can then be picked up at TASM. \nIf weather is below freezing and dry\, we run. If weather becomes below freezing and icy\, we don’t run. DESCRIPTION:You’ve seen it on the news\, now see it in person! \nOsage SkyNews 6 HD Pilot\, Dustin Stone\, will plan to visit TASM on Saturday\, February 16\, 2019! (Dependent on weather or breaking news). The news helicopter plans to arrive at TASM at 11:00 a.m. and will depart at 3:00 p.m. \nMEET PILOT DUSTIN STONE\nDustin Stone began working at KOTV as a 20 year old kid in 2000. He started out as a Master Control\, Video Tape and Audio Operator for 6 in the Morning. Then spent the next 10 years\, covering news as a Live Truck Operator and traveling the country\, covering bowl games\, march madness\, the space shuttle\, hurricanes\, tornadoes\, and many other national news events in Spirit Star (the satellite truck). After that he became Engineering Operations Supervisor and then News Operations Manager. During that entire time\, he was also a photographer in Osage Skynews 6. This was where his love for flying helicopters took over. In June of 2018\, Dustin achieved his dream job by becoming the pilot of Osage Skynews 6. \n  \nTASM Members: At Noon\, there will be a fun activity workshop just for our Members all about Helicopters in the Classroom!
