DESCRIPTION:TASM is presenting a new exhibit featuring Oklahoma-born\, NASA Astronaut William ‘Bill’ Pogue. The special exhibit coincides with what would have been Pogue’s 93rd birthday\, Jan. 23rd.  Items from his historic career will be on display.  This is a temporary exhibit and is one you don’t want to miss! \n \nAstronaut Pogue\, along with his two Skylab 4 crewmembers Gerald Carr and Dr. Edward Gibson\, was a long-duration spaceflight champion up until the mid-1990s\, spending 84 days in Earth orbit.  Pogue passed away on March 3\, 2014\, at age 84.

DESCRIPTION:The Aviator Ball is the largest annual fundraising event for the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium. Proceeds from this event support TASM’s mission of preserving Oklahoma’s aerospace heritage to inspire science-based learning through discovery. TASM\, as a 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to preserving aviation history and inspiring the youth of our community to pursue aerospace careers. \nThe theme for the 2023 Aviator Ball is Pacific Island Hangar Party\, so feel free to wear your favorite cocktail dress or Hawaiian shirt.
