Help bring the legendary A-10 Warthog to the Tulsa Air & Space Museum
Honoring a Legendary Aircraft:
A-10 Thunderbolt II to Feature Name of Former Pilot COl. Kenneth Craib at Tulsa Air & Space Museum
The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is proud to announce that its newly acquired A-10 Thunderbolt II—coming to the museum in late 2025 or early 2026—will feature the name of former A-10 pilot Col. Kenneth Craib under the cockpit canopy in tribute to his service.
Col. Kenneth Craib, a distinguished A-10 pilot, flew missions with precision, courage, and unwavering dedication to protecting American forces on the ground. Known for its iconic “BRRRTT” sound and devastating close air support capabilities, the A-10 Warthog was built around a powerful GAU-8/A Avenger cannon—an aircraft that Col. Craib knew intimately from the pilot’s seat.
Adding his name to the aircraft pays tribute not only to his contributions as a pilot but also to the thousands of men and women who served in support and defense roles. This personalized touch will serve as a permanent reminder of the human stories behind the aircraft on display.
The A-10 will be restored, painted, and displayed with pride on the museum grounds, where visitors of all ages can learn about its unique mission and the heroes who flew it. A dedication ceremony will be held upon its arrival, with veterans, active-duty service members, and community members invited to celebrate this historic addition and honor Col. Kenneth Craib’s legacy.
