2026 Air Power History Tour

October 23 @ 9:00 am - October 25 @ 5:00 pm

Air Power History Tour

The distinctive rumble of radial engines from historic World War II bombers, the B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” and the B-24 Liberator “Diamond Lil”, will be heard in the skies over Tulsa in October when they visit the Tulsa Air and Space Museum as part of the AirPower History Tour of the Commemorative Air Force. The bombers are to be accompanied by a T-6 Texan, a PT-13 Stearman, and a Beech SNB RC-45J.  The event is sponsored by the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.

The AirPower History Tour brings the sights, sounds, and stories of World War II aviation to airports across North America each year. Visitors to the ramp will be able to view all aircraft up close, purchase rides, and tour the B-29 and B-24 cockpits when the aircraft are not flying.

The aircraft will be on display from Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th.  The aircraft will be staged near the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, 3624 N. 74th E Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74115.

The event will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day.  Access to the ramp where the warbirds are parked is $20 for ages 14 and up, $10 for children ages 5-13, and free for children under 5. The T-6, PT-13 and R-C45J will be offering rides all three days.  The B-29 and B-24 will fly all 3 days at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Cockpit tours of the B-29 and B-24 will be available each day around noon as soon as the morning flights are complete.

Rides may be booked in advance at https://www.airpowersquadron.org/tulsaok where additional information about the event may also be found.

General Admission Tickets to view the aircraft may be purchased in advance or at the Tulsa Air & Space Museum the day of your visit.  General Admission ticket link: https://square.link/u/uYLXE9SK
