The Route 66 100th Anniversary – Runway Run is an officially timed race held on the Tulsa International Airport runway and offers participants the rare opportunity to run or walk where aircraft normally operate.

This signature event supports the Tulsa Air & Space Museum’s mission to honor the past and inspire the future! Whether you are an experienced runner aiming for a personal best or participating with family and friends, this event is designed for all ages and fitness levels.

Race Schedule

• 10K Run begins at 9:30 AM

• 5K Run begins at 10:00 AM

• 1-Mile Fun Run and Walk begins at 10:15 AM

Museum doors open at 8:00 AM for packet pickup and same-day registration. An awards ceremony for overall and age group winners will take place at 11:30 AM.

Race Experience

Participants will enjoy a professionally managed, officially timed race conducted by Tatur Racing. Both the 5K and 10K courses are certified, and all races take place on the Tulsa International Airport runway adjacent to the Tulsa Air & Space Museum, creating an unforgettable setting that cannot be replicated elsewhere in the region.

All registered participants will receive a finisher medal. Registered runners and walkers also receive complimentary admission to the Tulsa Air & Space Museum until 1:00 PM on race day, allowing participants and their families to explore exhibits following the event.

The course is family friendly and stroller accessible, for participants of all ages.

Registration Information

Early bird registration pricing is available for a limited time and ends on February 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST. Registration fees will increase after the early bird deadline.

Participants who register by February 23, 2026 are guaranteed an official event T-shirt. Shirt sizes are subject to availability for registrations completed after this date.
